She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Bashaar and Katherine Bashaar; and her brother Charles Edward Bashaar. She is survived by: her boyfriend William Sturgess; her brother Alan Bashaar (Kathy); her daughter Wendy McFarlane (John); and her grandchildren, Charles Samek (Rachel), James Samek (Melissa) and Caitlin Geiger (William). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation (388 Center Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15229).
