He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward C. Birdsall and Orpha R. Miles Birdsall; his son Travis Wayne Birdsall; his granddaughters, Sarah Engel, Anna Birdsall and Hope Birdsall; his brother-in-law William Twombly; and his nephew David Twombly.
He is survived by: his wife Erna Newcomb; his children, Kimberly Engle (Clyde), Jayne Engel (Larry) and Steven Birdsall (Marie); and his siblings, Sandra Twombly, Raymond Birdsall (Hildegard), Dale Birdsall (Gloria), Clayton Birdsall (Karen) and David Birdsall (Regina).
