He is survived by: his wife Roberta Hammel (Wagner); his children, Thomas Hammel Jr. (Jacqueline), Dorothy Hammel and Michael Hammel (Sara); his grandchildren, Brittany, David and Robert; and his brothers, Edward (Carmella) and Joseph (Elaine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
