He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Higgins and Esther Higgins (Engel); his former wife Kimberly Higgins (Konnen); and his brother Earl Higgins. He is survived by: his children, Tami Muresan (Terry) of Bristolville, OH, Mandi Jones (Jackson) of Farrell, PA, Robert Nemeth of Kinsman, OH, Steven J. Higgins Jr. of Greenville, PA and Shawn Higgins (Jessica) of Kinsman, OH; his siblings, Frank Higgins of Tacoma, WA, Lou Ann Onsurez (Abel) of Tacoma, WA and Gailene Donovan of Tacoma, WA; and his grandchildren, David, Christine, Karolyn, Joshua, Austin and Jaxson. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home (264 E State St, Sharon, PA 16146). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
