He is survived by: his children, Kahala Azuma Chrupalyk and Russell S. Chrupalyk; his grandchildren, Shawn Perry Jr., Leilani Maui and Russel Phoenix Maui; his great grandchild Nanu'alele Maui-Lind; and his sister Virginia Chrupalyk.
