He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Gordon and Margaret Dandar Schaffer; and his wife Eleanore V. Mitro Schaffer. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey W. Schaffer (Kim) of Monroeville, PA, Scott M. Schaffer (Jackie) of McMurray, PA and Donna Thomas (Gary) of McLean, VA; his granddaughter Katie Cartiff (Justin); his children, Andrew Schaffer, Matthew Crossley, Abbey Schaffer and Jacqueline Schaffer; and his brothers, William Schaffer (Cindy) of Penn Twp and Thomas Schaffer (Virginia) of Stoneboro, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
