He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph S. Caplan and Joan Caplan (Rosenberg). He is survived by: his wife Catherine Shaw Caplan; and his brothers, Jay Caplan, David Caplan and Lee Caplan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
