She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Wechsler and Anna Wechsler (Tameler); her husband Franz Schanta; her brothers, Francis, John and Robert Wechsler; and her close friend Joseph Tiwold.
She is survived by: her daughters, Maria Thomas (Willard Thomas, Jr.) and Elizabeth Moralis (Kevin Moralis); her siblings, William Wechsler and Catherine Schanta (Emil Schanta, Jr.); and her grandchildren, Gabrielle and Joseph Thomas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church (4 S 5th St, Coplay, PA 18037). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
