He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Burns and Grace Burns (Sirgenson); his wife Cathy Burns; his daughter Kathy; and his grandchildren, Emma, Sophia Vergamini, Logan, Derik, Lauren and Brianna Burns.
He is survived by: his children, Barbie Vergamini (Matt), Thomas, Robert and Richard Burns; and his sister Barbara McCann (James) of Palm Harbor. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
