He is survived by: his mother Shirley Thorne of Edwardsville; his daughter Megan DeGraba (Joey); his grandchildren, Meadow and Vinny of Shavertown; his daughter Carrie Thorne of Old Forge; and his sisters, Shirley Polisky (Fred) of Edwardsville, Barbara Derby (late Ralph) of Edwardsville, Linda Kashnicki (late Chester) of Shickshinny, Donna Riggs (late Paul) of Edwardsville and Laurie Saltz (Donnie) of Swoyersville. He is also survived by his Bulldog, Chief, many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gary's honor to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, Dallas, PA, a cause that reflected his lifelong love of animals.
