With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Gardner of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on October 20, 2025, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Family and friends can send flowers and/or light a candle as a loving gesture for their loved one. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gardner and Marguerite Bonner Gardner. He is survived by: his children, Sean Gardner, Christopher Gardner, Erin Emmel (Michael) and Kaitlyn Gardner (Graham); and his sister Marguerite Giuanta. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the North End Slovak Citizens Club (635 N Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM at the same location.
