He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Young and Louise Young (Sprau); his nephew David Young; and his sister-in-law Jean Marie Young. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Thomas T. Young (Elaine Vodzak), John Young and Pamela Young (Dan Kilker); his grandchildren, Tyler Vodzak, Emily Vodzak, John Young Jr., Abigail Young and Liam Kilker; and his brothers, Robert Young (Rene) and David Young. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Daniel J Hughes Funeral (617 Carey Ave, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service (451 N Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702).
