He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred F. Knecht and Lorena M. Knecht (Mutschler); his former wife Janice Jean Knecht (Mowery); and his son-in-law Jim Slabonik. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Slabonik of Mertztown, Keith Knecht (Ann) of Williamsport, Wilfred Knecht (Melissa) of Orlando, FL and Matthew Knecht (Josiane) of Neptune, NJ.
