It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald William Butters (Williamsport, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Agnes (Hiller) and Matthew Paul Butters; his wife Suzie; his brothers, Robert, Richard and Ronald; and his grandsons, Stephen Butters and Matthew Perchinski.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Barbara Hoover (Craig) of South Williamsport; his stepgrandchildren, Terra Deyo (Chris), Troy Winner, Jessica Stansberry (Jay) and Justin Hoover (Kerry); his stepson Jim Butters (Jeanie) of Jacksonville, FL; his stepgrandchildren, Tina Hellum (Cody) and Robert Oehler (Jamie); his stepchild Joni Perchinski (Frank) of Montoursville; his stepgrandchildren, Heather Higgins (Robert) and Joshua Perchinski (Lauren); his stepchild Laurie Crane (Kevin) of Cogan Station; his stepgranddaughters, Samantha Solomon (Kyle), Marissa Baux (Matthew) and Jessica Crane; his stepson Todd Butters (Michelle Dorin) of Williamsport; and his stepgrandson Andrew Butters. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Faith United Methodist Church (700 Fairview Dr, Montoursville, PA 17754). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 1151 Cemetery St, Williamsport, PA 17701. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at the same location. Up until the pandemic, Donnie enjoyed meeting the guys for coffee every morning. And he always loved to dance, and his family loved dancing with him!
