She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Young, Sr. and Florence E. Young; her husband Charles Levi Strailey, II; her daughter-in-law Deborah D. Strailey; her granddaughter Stephanie A. Strailey; and her brother John A. Young, Jr..

She is survived by: her sons, Harry E. Strailey (Susan J. Sanders) and Daniel C. Strailey; her granddaughters, Heather M. Eisenhour (Glenn) and Jessica L. Strailey-Splain (Rusty); and her stepgrandchildren, Kristi Michael (Curtis) and Scott Shaheen (Christine). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Joanne to a charity of one's choice.
