He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank G. Govan and Janice C. Govan (Skander). He is survived by: his wife Jodie Govan (Dawes); his sons, Tyler G. Govan and Chase P. Govan; his siblings, Dale Govan (Janet) of Pittsburgh, John Govan (Jolienne) of Pittsburgh and Mike Govan of Montana; his parents-in-law, Richard and June Dawes; his brother-in-law Shane Dawes (Candace); and his pets, Teddy and Winnie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Frank's name to a charity of one's choice.
