It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James E. Neff of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact James E. had on those he encountered along his journey. Though James E. may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Neff and Doris Neff (Cashner); his son Jeffrey Lewis; and his brother Thomas Neff. He is survived by: his daughters, MaryJo Lund of Franklin, NH and Shawn Neff of Jersey Shore; and his sisters, Carol Matter of Avis, Lori Evers of Mackeyville and Mary Neff of Jersey Shore. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Baptist Church (1730 4 Mile Dr, Williamsport, PA 17701).
