He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell H. Lakes and Gladys E. Lakes (McDowell); and his brother Thomas Lakes. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl (LeVan); his children, Jamie N. Lakes (Shannon) of Coudersport, Jeremy N. Lakes (Katie) of Montoursville, Carla J. Hoover (Eric) of Williamsport, Shelly R. Jean (Bryan) of Cogan Station and Christine M. Barnes (Tom) of Hughesville; and his sister Elizabeth DeHart of Catawissa. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
