She is survived by: her husband Donald L. Burleigh; her stepchildren, Robert Burleigh (Barb), Cindy Sanner (Tim), Charlotte Klingle (Jamie) and Mike Burleigh (Beth); her grandchildren, Austin, Paige, Kristle, Miranda and Katlynn; her son-in-law Rodney Starr; and her cousin Steve Awalt.

Memorial contributions may be made in Joan's name to Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
