He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Helminiak and Rose Helminiak (Dzien); his former wife Florence J. Hart; his son Jerome Helminiak; and his sisters, Anna Giedroc and Helen Luke.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy (Carrie), Katherine Zay (John), Joseph (Patty), John (Barbara), Daniel (Mary) and David Helminiak (Mary); his daughter-in-law Cynthia Helminiak; his brother-in-law Joseph Luke; and his wife Catherine A. Helminiak (Plisko). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren.
