With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Palmatier of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 5, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Joyce leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Joyce may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walt Whitman and Ann Whitman (Snyder); her children, John Deitch of Williamsport and Roberta Deitch of Kitty Hawk, NC; and her sister Shirley Bausinger of Williamsport.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Lazo (Frank) of Aguascalientes and Denise Carpenter (Peter) of Portsmouth, NH; and her sister Marie Cousins (Robert) of Shrub Oak, NY. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
