We announce the death of Melvin Davis of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 10, 2026, at the age of 83. Melvin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Melvin will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Melvin will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Melvin’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Davis and Jean Davis (Schall); his daughter-in-law Meg Davis; and his sister Sharon Rittenhouse. He is survived by: his wife Susan A. Davis (Hoffman); his sons, Joseph Davis and Rick Davis (Dawn); and his sisters, Sandra Pisano and Kathy Surpe. He is also survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
