He was predeceased by: his wife Carole A. "Frenchie" Hicks (Bower); his parents, Charles Hicks and Ethel Hicks (Foulkrod); and his siblings, Charles, Kenneth Hicks, ShelvaJean Harzinski and Sharon Horton.

He is survived by: his sons, Norman Dwayne Hicks (Pam) of Williamsport, Eric T. Hicks (Kelly) of Midlothian, VA and Dennis Lockcuff of South Carolina; his stepdaughters, Kelly Fisher (Earl) of Moore Township and Cherie Brewer (Adrian Jr.) of Olin, NC; his grandchildren, Nate (Gracie), Derrick (Jill) and Heith Hicks (Katie); his stepgrandchildren, Shannon Drury (Jason), Amber Hood and Allison Hood (Andrew Carl); and his great grandchildren, Noah, Deacon, Merri, Lee, Bo and Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Norm's name to the Heritage Springs Memory Care Montoursville 878 Old Cement Rd, Muncy, PA 17756.
