He was predeceased by: his parents, James Caputo and Edna Caputo (Hall); his son William L. Caputo, Jr.; and his brothers, Jimmy, Jack, Buddy, Bobby and Dick Caputo.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Caputo (Hepburn); his daughters, Kimberley Shick (Ken), Karen Plankenhorn (Chip) of Williamsport and Sharon Tressler (Ted) of Pittsburgh; his daughter-in-law Jamie Caputo (Jones); his grandchildren, Felicia Lyle (Ben), Ashley Lewis (Don), Zachary Caputo (Jin), Connie and Sara Plankenhorn; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Rowan, Elora Lyle, Lexi, Natalie Martin and Harper Lewis; and his sisters, Betty Croffut and Patricia Dunkleberger.
