He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond A. Merkel and Anna B. Merkel (Boswell); his former wives, Linda Merkel (Barner) and Zee Merkel (Seasholtz); and his brother Timothy Merkel.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda R. Merkel (Kreamer); and his children, Ann Nelson, Warren Merkel (Nicole), Jeffrey Merkel, Lorri Amrom (Steven), Robert Snyder (Kathy), Linda Muñoz (Roberto) and Aleese Drawbaugh (Michael). He is also survived by grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church in Bill's memory.
