He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Lottie Reed Smith; his wife Emma Jane Leuschner Smith; his son Douglas Smith; and his siblings, James Smith and Anna Marie Schylaske.
He is survived by: his son David Smith (Jode); his grandchildren, Dylan Smith (Ashley) and Leah Murphy (Nate); his great grandchild Zoey Jane Smith; Morgan Klinger (Dale Williams) and Harold. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church East Street (134 N East St, Williamstown, PA 17098). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery (60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003).
