He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Hampton Hammond Jr. and Fairmene Dorsey Hammond; his brothers, Leon, John, Ralph, Earl and Wade; his son Brian Allen Hammond; and his wife Gloria Hammond.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jennifer, Isaiah, Edwin III, Colebe and Courtney; his children, Edwin "Doc" Hammond II (LaNore) and Nicole Hammond Oliver (Bertram); his great grandchildren, Jennifer (Jonathan), Isaiah, Edwin (Giovanni), Colebe and Courtney; his sister Doris Bell (Sydney); his siblings-in-law, Carol Smith, De'borah Brown, Virginia Hammond, Erma Hammond and Lawrence Allen; and his pets, Tara and Sage. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Crestmont (1678 Fairview Ave, Willow Grove, PA 19090). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
