He was predeceased by: his wife Leila B. Ferguson Herr; his former wife Norma Herr; his parents, Jacob S. Herr and Helen Coates Herr; his son Robert C. Herr; and his brother David L. Herr.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Stephen Herr and Lauren Herr of Ohio; his daughter-in-law Joni Herr of Ohio; his nieces, Anne Herr of Gap, PA, Susan Herr and Ellen Walters of Long Island City, NY; his great-nephews, Winston C Walters of New York and Emmett C Walters of New York; Leila, Susan Albright of Mountville, PA, Cheryl Eckman of Oxford, PA and Nancy Swarr of Strasburg, PA..
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home (434 Main St, Parkesburg, PA 19365). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 10:45 AM and at 11:00 AM. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Middle Octorara Presbyterian Cemetery (1199 Valley Rd, Quarryville, PA 17566).
