He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Caroline Shaeffer; his sons, Jeffrey Shaeffer of South Carolina and Michael Shaeffer of Churchill; his grandson Ethan Shaeffer of South Carolina; his siblings-in-law, George, Karen Tomich and Mary Ann Tomich (late Nicholas); his brother Paul Schaeffer (Sibby) of Arizona; and his parents, Keith Shaeffer and Pauline Shaeffer. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
