She is survived by : her sons, Kirk-Patrick Capers, Kerwin Capers and Keith Capers; and her siblings, Ishmael Capers, Jr., Charles Capers, Deborah Muldrow, Joyce Jones and Brenda Capers. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
