He was predeceased by: his parents, David J. Finlayson and Joan E. Finlayson (Pike). He is survived by: his wife Deborah J. Finlayson (Singer); his sons, Matthew Finlayson (Scott) and Ryan Finlayson (Nicole); his siblings, Diane J. Capone (David), Jeffrey D. Finlayson (Linda) and Alan P. Finlayson (Dawn); and his grandchildren, Kailey, Gabriella and Braydon Finlayson. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
