He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell C. Roper and Elizabeth Roper (Bieler); his son Tim Roper; and his daughter-in-law Connie Fritch. He is survived by: his wife Jean M. Roper (Smickley); his children, Cathy (Perry Snow), Alison (David Overdorf) and Craig Roper; his daughter-in-law Erica Stofflet; and his grandchildren, Kristen Salesky (Brian), Kelci Adams, Rebekah Overdorf (Carmela Troncoso), Alysia Overdorf (Jacob Robertson), Mikaela Roper, Michael Roper, Jennifer Freeby and Sara Vaccaro (Brian). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
