She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Lee and Doan Tennant; her husband Herman Thomas Cheek; her children, Herbert Lee Roy "Butch" Cheek and Scarlett Loretta Cheek; and her siblings, Clyde Tennant, Burle Tennant, Bob Tennant, Mike Tennant, Cecil Tennant, Fred Tennant, Ruby Tennant, Ruth Tuttle and Margaret Hull (Earl).
She is survived by: her daughters, Martha Thornton of Pittsburgh and Nora Rhome of Carmichaels; her grandchildren, Matthew Cheek (Bobbie), Mary Cheek (Alicia), Forest Rhome, Scott Rhome, Eric Rhome, Laurie Rhome (Shane), Toni Thornton, Becky Thornton, Herbert Thornton and Herman Thornton; her great grandchildren, Jessica Hamill, Travis Cain, Baillie Mundell, Harper Riley and Khaleesi Pattison; and her daughter-in-law Brenda Cheek of Washington. She is also survived by six great-great grandchildren.
