She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cekolj and Lucy Cekolj (Franchic); her husband Andy Sekela; her stepsons, George and John Sekela; her stepgrandson Michael Andrew Sekela; and her siblings, John, Edward Cekolj, Dolores Brown and Mary Jane Henegmihle.
She is survived by: her daughter Marinee Temme; her granddaughters, Candace (Gregory) and Chelsea (Gary); her great grandchildren, Brooke and Paige Jerome; her sister Donna Jean (Jerry Kerr); and her stepgrandchildren, Julie, Laura and Todd Sekela. She is also survived by numerous step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Church, Windber VFW or American Red Cross in honor of Betty.
