John Sekela Obituary
We bid farewell to John Sekela of Windber, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 24, 2026 at the age of 80. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Sekela and Dolores Mehok (Reed); his son Michael Andrew Sekela; and his brother George Sekela. He is survived by: his wife Linda K. Sekela (Shaffer); his son Todd Sekela (Lori); and his grandchildren, Kayla Davis, Tori Sekela and Charlotte Sekela. He is also survived by "PaPa" and "Pepaw" by his beautiful granddaughters.
