He was predeceased by: his parents, Foster Penrod and Nellie Penrod; his wife Judy; and his siblings, Foster, Dorothy Berkebile (Dot), Kathleen Sherbine (Kass), Jean Lynn, Pauline Caldwell (Polly) and Frances Butler.
He is survived by: his children, Stacy Orner (Eric) and Scott Penrod (Stacy); and his grandchildren, Matthew Orner (Cheyenne), Samantha Orner (Tanner), Laiken Orner, Jacob Kaufman, Jared Kaufman, Brody Kieta (Shelby) and Brittani Hiner (Gage). He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Laurel View Village Chapel (2000 Cambridge Dr, Davidsville, PA 15928). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Windber Hospice.
