He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis L. Sloan and Lois B. Sloan (Reddecliff); his siblings, Jessie Luckhart and John R. Sloan; his nieces, Kimberly Jury (Sloan) and Lois Martin (Quinn); and his nephew Brian Quinn.

He is survived by: his sisters, Yvonne Lehman and Lois Quinn; his nephew Robert J. Sloan (Susan Maust); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Krystal (Erik Smith), Julie (Matt Ulatsky), Justin Sloan (Kim), Jesse Sloan (Alexandra), Anna, Abigail, Audrey Smith, Blaire Ulatsky and Kylee Sloan.
