He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Snyder and Georgine Snyder (Knoll); and his former wife Jean C (Schneider). He is survived by: his wife Christine Snyder (Mengel); his son Shawn E Snyder; his stepdaughters, Heather L Harner (Bradley) and Lisa Dronick; his grandchildren, Lucy, Cora, Lily, Richard, Brian, Rich, Darryl, Joshua, Hannah and Sarah; his great grandchild Wyatt; and his brother Donald Snyder.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bern Reformed United Church of Christ (3196 Bernville Rd, Leesport, PA 19533). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Alan made significant contributions to his community through his formidable career as a foreman at Reading Anthracite, where he devoted 25 years of his life.
