He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter R. Nixon and Corine Nixon (McMichael); his children, Tonie M. Nixon, Douglas R. Nixon, Barbara Joy Towson Nixon, Timothy Niles Towson Nixon, Dorothea Diamond Towson Nixon, Sherri B. Randall and Gary Nixon; his siblings, Horace Nixon, Richard Nixon, Oscar Browne and Thressia L. Nixon; and his grandson Timothy Nixon.
He is survived by: his wife Kay A. Nixon (Yeager); his children, Terrie S. Nixon, Brian S. Nixon of Winchester, CA, Ronald L. Towson (Gladdia) of Topeka, KS and Gloria J. Beierschmitt (Joan Zupicick) of Ellendale, DE; and his sister Geraldine Montgomery (Rodney) of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, and many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
