With solemn reverence, we commemorate Joan L. Howarth of Woodlyn, Pennsylvania, whose life came to an end on May 20, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Peterson and Emily Peterson (Nickerson); her husband John J. Howarth Jr.; and her siblings, Myrtle Crandall, Roy Peterson, Richard Peterson, Eleanor Damon, Allen Peterson, Joyce Mercer and Annette Mroz.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Tini (Ray) and Anne Garay (Louis); her brother Ron Peterson (Doreen); her sister-in-law Margaret Urey; her grandchildren, Emily Miller (Jason), Rosanna Garay, Louis Garay (Jessica), Alexander Garay, Brendan Garay, Oliver Garay (Jessica) and Lydia Young (Zachary); and her great grandchildren, Tiernan, Katharine, Eleanor, Conall, Evelyn, Agatha, Odin, Helena and Ophelia. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the Mount Hope Cemetery. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home (4220 Edgmont Ave, Brookhaven, PA 19015).
