He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eugene Walker and Bertha Walker (Gorkiewicz); his wife Philomena "Philly" Walker (Gola); his children, Stephanie Marek (Christopher) of Plains Township, Gene Walker (Erika Santiago) of Old Forge and Debbie Walker of Wyoming; and his grandchildren, Darryn, Chase Marek, Kayden, Lucy Walker and Skye "Skyeroni" Gilroy. He was also cherished by his several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the John V. Morris Family Funeral Home Inc. (625 N Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
