She was predeceased by : her parents, Rudolph Niehamer and Ethel Niehamer (Bartlett); her husband Elmer H. Trout; her daughter Catharine Linda Smith; and her brothers, Calvin Berkey and Rudolph M. Niehamer.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Thomas J. Smith (Jennifer) and Cristen L. McTamney; and her great grandchildren, Keagan McTamney, Brogan McTamney and Avery Smith.
