He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl F Moyer of Wyomissing and Ada E High of Reading; his former wife Dorothy Deck; and his son Jonathan T Moyer. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Goodman; his children, Jason T Moyer and Megan L Moyer (Karen Boginski); his stepsons, Larry Wyomissing (Kate Golden) and Sam Reading (Alex Minehart); and his stepgrandchildren, Max, Elizabeth and Violet Goodman.
With significant contributions to the local textile industry, John served as the general manager for a division of Rockwell International and later President of Wildman-Jacquard.
