With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence S. Schmidt of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Lawrence's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Schmidt (Leshock); his parents, Lawrence Schmidt and Anna Schmidt (Czech); his son Jeffrey B. Schmidt; and his brother Joseph Schmidt.
He is survived by: his children, Regina M. Shade (Dwayne L. Shade) of Wyomissing, Lawrence Stanley Schmidt (Mary T. Schmidt) of Harrisburg and Julianne D. Rutkowski (Michael D. Rutkowski) of Wyomissing; and his daughter-in-law Kristin Schmidt of Allentown. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 8:45 AM to 10:15 AM at the Bean Funeral Homes- Sinking Spring (3825 Penn Ave, Sinking Spring, PA 19608). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church (2600 St Albans Dr, Reading, PA 19609).
