He was predeceased by : his wife Mary Ann McClain; his siblings, Caroline Tracey, Ellis Tracey and Richard Tracey; and his parent Rose Mary McClain Tracey.

He is survived by : his children, Gerald McClain (Miranda) and Patricia Leibrecht (Harry); his brother Robert Tracey; and his grandchildren, Harry IV, Finnian, Jack, Henry, Benjamin and Charlotte.
