He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Baker and Doris Goddard Baker; and his siblings, James A., Richard K. Baker and Sandra Morris.

He is survived by : his wife Patricia Dileo Scarlata Baker; his children, Jonathan Baker (Jalina), Eric Baker and Rebecca Prince Hersker (Stephen); his sisters, Doris Goddard, Jackie Jones and Val Jean Wheeler; and his sister-in-law Lois Baker. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
