We are sad to announce that on November 19, 2025, at the age of 91, Barry C. Gruver (York, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Barry departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Barry. Though Barry may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Gruver and Fairy Gruver (Pfaltzgraff); his son Dirk Gruver; and his sister Elena Gunning. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor "Ellie" Gruver (Srock); and his sibling's children, Derek Gunning and April Gunning.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church (839 W Market St, York, PA 17401). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church (839 W Market St, York, PA 17401).
