She was predeceased by: her husband Howard R. Ness, Jr.; her parents, Melvin K. Ausherman and Dorothy M. Ausherman (Biddinger); and her siblings, Garland P. Ausherman and Diana K. Peifer.

She is survived by: her children, Robin R. Ness (Kathy A.) of York and Donna Jo Wolfe (David) of York; her grandchildren, Shawn A. Dubs, Lauren A. St. Louis, Nicole R. Miller and Jessica M. Witmer; her great grandchildren, Tinley K. Franklin, Bailey A. Errair and Porsche Miller; and her brother Braden Ausherman.
