Bessie leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Bessie’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Bessie will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her husband Howard E. Black; her parents, Arthur H. Keister and Lucille N. Keister (Day); and her brothers, Herman Keister and Alfred Keister.
She is survived by: her sons, Paul Black (Sandy), Mervin Black (Patty) and Rusty Black (Missy). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Etzweiler Funeral Home - York (1111 E Market St, York, PA 17403). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
