He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Charles Freeland and Rosa Elizabeth (Freeland); his wife Mary; his son John Freeland; and his sisters, Doris King and Mildred Dowell.
He is survived by: his sons, Terry (Dawna) and Bill (Paula); his grandchildren, Amy Wilson (Corey), Brooke Kraft (Ryan) and Brian Freeland (Sarah); and his great grandchildren, Kayla and Eleanor Kraft. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
Viewing will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care (24 N 2nd St, New Freedom, PA 17349). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Pine Grove United Methodist Cemetery -Parkton (19401 Middletown Rd, Parkton, MD 21120).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church.
